LUSH Grease Lightening | Review

Hi Beauty Lovers!
Todays post is on a beauty taboo area that is scarcely talked about and the thought of it makes our blood run cold...spots, zits, breakouts, acne! Nothing ruins my day like waking up to a new facial accessory, fortunately I have good products to conceal my new frenemy but only recently have I obtained a product that claims to treat the problem.
I've been aware of LUSH grease lightening for a while now, ever since my blogging bestie +Charlotte-Louise Thompson told me about its magical healing properties. I tried to get my sticky paws on a bottle for weeks, but it was always sold out, I took this as a good omen.
Grease Lightening comes in the form of a clear gel solution jam packed with skin loving goodies, such as Lavender, Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera. The price is beyond reasonable, this little bottle costs £6.25 and contains 45g, considering how little you actually need to use, this bottle will last you an eternity. It comes in a handy pump bottle, so bacteria contamination is at a minimum.
I gave this product one hell of a test run, prior to going on holiday I had a few stress breakouts, so I religiously applied Grease Lightening to fight the pests, however I saw no difference. The only thing that seemed to help my skin was good old fashion sunshine. I applied this product with a cotton bud to avoid transferring bacteria. I religiously applied Grease Lightening morning and night, and it felt as though it was doing good, when sadly in actual fact I saw no difference to my breakouts at all.
On the LUSH UK website Grease Lightening currently has a 4.3/5 star rating, but sadly I would only rate it around 3 stars. For the price this product is worth the gamble, because some people absolutely swear by it, sadly for my skin, I do not.
Let me know what your thoughts on this product are, I'd love to hear how you rate it.
