Colour Correctors | Worth the hype?

Hi Beauty Lovers!

I have amazing news...my dissertation has been printed, bound and handed in...YIPEE! Now that's finally out of my life for good I can finally get a YouTube video uploaded, so be on the look out for that!

Anyway back to the post, recently colour correctors have been flying off the shelves, so I rounded up a few of my products to give you my opinions on whether there actually worth the hype.

The products featured are Smashbox Photo Finish Primer - Light, Max Factor Colour Corrector - The Reducer and NXY Studio Perfect Photo-Loving Primer - Green.
T-B - Smashbox | NYX | Max Factor
I don't suffer from general redness, however when I have a breakout the redness is out of this world. My current routine for this is priming my skin with Smashbox primer and colouring over the problem area with my Max Factor CC stick. I know the Smashbox primer isn't a colour corrector, however the Max Factor CC Stick doesn't prime your skin, so they go together like peas in a pod. On days where I'm left with slight pigmentation and redness from resolving breakouts I find this method slightly heavy, especially since summer is coming up, I could do without the extra layer. To resolve this issue I've been using the NYX green tinted primer, this cuts out an extra layer of product and saves me a mammoth amount of time. Its more water based than the Smashbox primer and feels so light on my skin, it only reduces redness a slight amount but once my foundations buffed in, I'm left with a flawless complexion.

If your not tied to a budget I would recommend getting all these products, alternately If your being money savvy, I highly recommend the Max Factor CC stick, this will soon become your best friend.

What are your thoughts on colour correctors?

Lauren
