YSL Gloss Volupte - Review

Hi Beauty Lovers!
Today I’m sharing with you a product that I very rarely use, and that’s a lip gloss. I usually don’t get on with lip glosses as I find them really sticky and my hair instantly magnetises to my lips, but I saw this shade at the YSL counter and it was love at first sight.
What’s not to love about YSL packaging, it oozes sophistication and class, and just looks gorgeous. The applicator is slightly curved so it fits perfectly along your lip, it points at the top to trace the outline of your cupids bow. I find it much easier to use than the typical doe foot or brush applicators.
First of all let me start by saying it is not sticky at all, not even in the slightest, it feels more like wearing a thin lip balm. It is surprisingly pigmented and vivid, which is always a treat from a lip gloss. I found that it had impressive staying power, I wore it on a recent night out and I only reapplied a few times.  The shade is a flat bright pink, perfect for spring and summer when you can get away with wearing a vivid lip all day long.
These are the 'Gloss Volupte' and were released in 2014, so they're fairly new, and they come in 24 shades, mine is 206 – Fuchsia Oran.
It is YSL so you do expect to pay slightly more, but you really are paying for the quality and the drop dead gorgeous tube it comes in! These retail at £21, but I was lucky enough to have someone pick me this up from duty free, which I think is around 20% less, I could be wrong.  I would happily pay full price for this product though, I do realise it is a splurge product, but definitely something everyone should own.
So long haired ladies and gents slick on some lip gloss and let your hair blow freely in the wind, you wont be disappointed.
